-- url of the page with the problem -- wildeandsparrow.gotbdev.com/index.php/je...ct/298-heron-pendant
-- HikaShop version -- 2.3.1 essential
-- Joomla version -- : 3.3.1
-- PHP version -- : 5.3.28
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Firefox 30 and Safari 7.0.4

Images for products show fine, zoom leads to a pixilated image. We've tried the folder media/com_hikashop/upload/thumbnail via FTP and deleting all the files there, it made no difference. I've configured the options as you see them.
Thanks!

Hi,

This depends on the zooming extension (gkZoom) you're using.
I would recommend to contact their support for help.

I may add that you have set relatively small image size values in your configuration, and possibly - from what I can see - uploaded fairly small images, too. Zooming in on them with what looks like factor 4 must come out as a bad result. For a start, increase those value, then upload images that are large enough, and it should look much better.
You'll need to re-do this for existing products.

Hi Thanks for this.

I should have mentioned that the images are plenty big (2400X 3200, 3 megs) and even setting image width-height to the actual size of the images has no effect. We've tried setting the images larger in each category in configuration (thumbnail, product and image ). If we set the thumbnail larger it pushes the content off the page and has no effect on the zoomed image. If we set the product image larger it disappears. There doesn't seem to be a setting for the size of the zoom image. We've also fiddled with all the apparent settings in the image section, ratio and crop.

You have a link to a product page with such large image? Because the link in your original post leads to a product with an image sized 240x321px ("Heron Pendant"), and others I tried aren't much larger, i.e. "shirt 2" image size being 375x500px. All fractions of those 2400x3200px, obviously.

I'm not surprised that it doesn't help.
The zoom extension overrides completely the display of the image. So HikaShop is not in control anymore for that area and it's up to the zoom extension to use the settings or not, and use them properly.
Thus my advice to see with the zoom extension support. Or maybe you could use another zoom extension than gkZoom.
