Free is always added to the price (or when there is no price)

Hi!
Just set up a new simple store, probably will be a catalogue. The word Free is systematically added either below the products (in store 'whole products display") or right after the price when clicking on the products.
There is no shipping configured and after a lot of attempts, I just cannot tell where this is coming from. How can I remove this Free word?

Hello,

Now about the word free after the price, there are good chance that it's language override (see documentation ) and on the "PER_UNIT" key translation.
And in the other case, the word "free" is automatically added when no price is defined in product backend.

Now in order to be able to be more precise in our help the best is to allow us to see your website.

Hi bfred,

Apparently, you have only entered a "Retail price" in your products, which then shows as "Common price" in the front end. That's the MSRP, list price, or whatever you may call it in your market.
You want to enter your sales price(s) below that field in the backend. And don't forget to click the "OK" in that section, otherwise it will not be saved! See here:

Hello!
Yes @lousyfool, this is exactly the case! Thank you very much for that. And I actually even had to remove that MSRP price input, else common price and our prive both appeared.
So problem fix I can now move on to other settings now.
