Well, there are two potential ways:
- You can configure the smart search module of Joomla via the Joomla modules manager. You also need to index your products via the Smart search component. HikaShop comes with a smart search plugin which integrates with the smart search mechanism in Joomla for that.
- You can create a filter of the type "text" via the menu Display>Filters of the HikaShop backend and then configure a HikaShop filter module via the Joomla modules manager. Filters can do a lot more than a text search. You can have dropdowns, checkboxes, cursors to filter out your products listings based on criteria (custom product fields, characteristics, categories, brands, etc). However, this capability is only available in the Business edition of HikaShop:
