Product as Options VS Custom Field Item MYSQL query Product

Hi

We face a issue here to group some product as "options" of one main products

We tried 2 methods
1. Options by selecting the other sub product
- however, this method all work great, product successfully added to cart, pricing calculated correctly, but it serve all Options as main product in cart and order printing, we need it to group under the main product


2. Custom Field
- we tried this method it work great as well by selecting all the add-on product thru checkbox, it group correct all product under the main product, but, the pricing is not calculated in

Is there a way we can work on to
have product group under 1 main product and with pricing calculation?

But one more thing
when these options in cart product variable, is there any diffference with normal product variable?
