Regulate product listing container width

For some years now we've been making websites (increasingly with WordPress) that fill the screen out to a max width of 1500 or 1600px with side padding. How do I achieve that with Hikashop? My product listings seem to have a set limit of about 960px They are being constrained by some unwanted, no longer necessary bootstrap css code. I find them in the inspector. As a result the whole presentation looks dinky. Right now we want to forego the hassle of installing a whole new template or framework. Is there a simple custom css override solution which exempts Hikashop and allows us to regulate width independent of Bootstrap and template.css?

Thank you for replying! I had hoped there was a way to regulate this just for Hikashop pages. But, if I have to, is not a problem for me to do a cusom.css override. Have experimented and it will work, sitewide.

I think I can fix the issue in bootstrap.css or template.css or custom.css. It is not a best practice but it works for now and we don't care so much because this old template is obsolete and will be soon junked anyway.
