Hi,
Characteristics show different:
In back-end: <<>> In front-end:
Sandwich Bruin === wich Bruin
Sandwich Wit === wich Wit
Stokbrood Bruin === brood Bruin
Stokbrood Wit === brood Wit
But:
Sandwich Mais = Sandwich Mais
and other characteristics are also the same in front-end and back-end.

In the database all the characteristics are normal, so Sandwich Bruin for example.

If I put a dot in front of Sandwich Bruin in the back-end, the front-end displays .Sandwich bruin. So dot included.

What went wrong, and how can I solve this matter?

Hi,

So, from what I can see on your page, Broodvariaties is actually the name of a product which you're using as an option of your main product "Gezond".
So the "Sandwitch ..." text comes either from the name you set in each variant of the Broodvariaties product, or the values of the characteristic added to the Broodvariaties product.
So check the names of the variants of the Broodvariaties product, and then check the values of the characteristic in Products>Characteristics.

If that doesn't help, please provide screenshots of these so that we can get a better grasp of the situation in your backend.

Hi,

Thanks to Mr. Nico van Leeuwen ICT-Linie, and your response we were able to solve the matter.

When the field Name of the Variant is empty, it can lead to unexpected results in the front-end, like names of variants which are partialy displayed.
(No problem ocurred in the last years, problems ocurred only lately).

Would it be an idea to warn the user if field [Name] of variants has been left empty?
Please see attachment.

Hi,

Leaving the variants without a name is done a lot. Without the name, the system automatically use the values of the variants instead.
So if you have a different display on the frontend, it could be caused by translations.
Besides that, I don't see why it would display something different than what you have in the values of the characteristic.
