Location of file "style_custom.css" (front-end styles) on the server

What are the locations of:

1. the file "frontend_custom.css" (Front-end CSS File)"
2. the file "style_custom.css" (front-end styles)

I browsed the server maps but could not find them.

Where can I find documentation on the difference between these files (what are the specific purpose of each of them)?

I want to edit those files directly on the webserver with Visual Studio Code (vsc) with the vsc-code plugin SFTP-sync by Natizyskunk
