Hi,
I use the hikashop plugin for google analytics and in the begining it works well but after a few days there are no results.
The plugin is still activated en I put in the google analytics ID.
Besides the hikashop plugin I use the BIGSHOT Google Analytics plugin.

There are not so much selling, but still a few.
What I'm doing wrong?
Best regards, Gerard

Hi,

Your plugin is properly configured.

The statistics will only be sent when the orders are confirmed (paid), while the widget in HikaShop might be configured to display both created (not paid) and confirmed (paid) orders. That could explain the difference.

Other than that, I don't see why it wouldn't work if it worked previously unless of have some kind of javascript error on the thank you page after the payment (you can check on that in the javascript error console log of your browser on the thank you page).

Hi,

If you turn on the debug mode of the GA plugin, it will use that method to be able to see what's going on during the confirmation:
developers.google.com/analytics/resource...ubleshooting#gaDebug

So if you have that option turned on in the plugin and the plugin published and the firebug console of firefox opened while you confirm the order status of an order in the backend, you will see the debug information printed in the console and potential errors.
That will allow us to understand what's going on.

Hi,

Your last screenshot is indeed what we need:
www.hikashop.com/media/kunena/attachment...ytics_back-end_2.jpg

As you can see on it, the order details (orer id 113 by someone in Duiven, with 1 product Stefan_1 costing 29.5) are properly sent to Google Analytics.
And the debugger doesn't give any error so it is successful.
You should normally see that order in the ecommerce area of your GA account less than 48h after that (it can take several hours).

If you don't see it after 48h, then maybe there is an issue with your GA account. I encourage you to contact GA's support with that screenshot and ask them why you don't see the transaction in your account.

They can't help me :S

This is the translated Email
Dear Gerard,
Thank you for your follow-up questions. I remember that you had registered on here before and I had taken your case. Pending I have also indicated that we unfortunately questions about other programs other than Analytics can not answer. There are so many and it is impossible, unfortunately, to provide good service.
I hope you have a idea to solve this problem.
Thanks, Gerard

I'm afraid I can't help. The data is transmitted to Analytics as far as I can see and it's working for others as well as on our end as far as I know so I don't see what we can do on our end to move forward on the issue since it doesn't seem to be an issue on our end.

Hi,

There is no link between paypal and the google analytics plugin.
One is for the payment, communicate with the payment process and the other, add data to send details to google.

When an order is confirmed, the plugin store the details in the session and display it in the next "valid" page.
That's how the plugin works and it works good in the backend for what I tested.

Hi,

I would recommend to try with the latest version of HikaShop as we added a few fixes for the Google Analytics plugin and also if that doesn't help, try to have both a normal joomla Google Analytics plugin and HikaShop's GA plugin configured as it might not work properly if you only have ours since it only handle the ecommerce data and not the normal GA reporting on page visits.

Hi Nicolas,
For GA I use bigshot googleanalytics and hikashop GA plugin.
Befor today I had version 2.2.1 and update it to 2.2.2.

Hi Nicolas,
In the last month I saw no diference :-(

Most payments I confermed manualy in the order backend.
received (aangemaakt) => confirmed (bevestigd) => send (verzonden)
There is no responds in GA!
Also no responds from Paypal

I hope you have a other solution what I can test?
Best regards,
Gerard

A question related to this thread.

Do we have to use the standard 'Thank you page' of Hikashop (which I am guessing is using the View after_end) for GA Ecommerce to work?
In my case we have customized the Paypal Return URL to a specific page so I think the GA Ecommerce plugin is not activated.
Is my understanding correct?

Hi,
I don't understand you question.
How can I implement the "Thank you page" or is it "standard "implemented in the checkout or is it part of the payment plugin of hikashop.
I attached the checkout and paypal screen dumps.

Maybe the problem is that I don't understand the checkout/payment process of Hikashop in combination with GA.
I hope you can help me with this and solve the problem.
Thanks For your time.
Best regards, Gerard

Sorry for the confusion Gerard. My question is for the Hikashop developers. I should have written that more clearly.
Let's wait for their answer.

@gerardtb If it works with our GA plugin and a joomla GA plugin on the frontend but not with only our GA plugin on the backend, you could try to add your GA code in the administrator template's index.php so that you have the same statistics sent to GA. That might help GA publish the ecommerce statistics for backend confirmed orders.

@cbadmin no you don't need to. The system always redirect back to a hikashop page where HikaShop's GA plugin sends the statistics and then redirects to the payment plugin's return URL.
