You're not doing it correctly.

Your category module is inside a category listing menu.
When you click on a link of the category module, it display the listing of categories in the menu and the listing of category module below it.
Normally, you should have your category listing module published on a position of your template and not inside a menu.
that's why you have a strange behavior.

When you go in the hikashop options of your category listing menu, there is an associated module which should normally be a products listing module.
In your case, that associated module is a category listing module. So that's why you're not seeing any products.

I think that's right. For the top level category "Holiday", there should just be a listing of subcategories: Christmas, Easter, Halloween, etc.
Then, under "Christmas", there are more subcategories: angels, woodland, white & silver, etc.
The problem is that when i get to the final level of categories (e.g. angels) there are still no products.

Before I made changes yesterday, I had products showing, but they were showing in the content area AND in the content module area on the right.

I am wondering:
1. Do I need another products listing module for each lowest level category that is associated with the category listing menu?
2. Do I need to unpublish one menu so as not to see the duplication of products?

1. No
2. No

Before yesterday, your problem sounded like you had two products listing module displayed where in fact only one was needed.
Now, you don't have any products listing module displayed, thus you don't see any products.

Hi -

Now they are all product listing modules, and I do see some products, but I am getting a lot of 404 errors.

thank you for all of your help. the customer service here is amazing.

i'm having a problem with the individual product divs.

1. the text color on the product quantity is being inherited from the color of the background box on the product, so you can't see it. i can't seem to find the style tag that is overriding the white text defined in the frontend css.

2. i can't get the product id codes to display. i removed the product_price display: none from the css and also added the info to the table in the php, but that didn't work.

can you help...again?

1.
I'm not following you. I can see the quantity box in white with the number in it in black on your website. Please do a screenshot so that we can see what yo'ure talking about.

2.
I can see the code of your products on the product page. For example:
The code AC100 is displayed for that page:
jacquelinebejma.com/joomla16/index.php/holiday/product/cid-33

I managed to fix both problems. Thank you.

Now my main menu links are not working. I know I had them working at one point, but now they go to an html page with errors.

More specifically, in the main menu area and in the right side modules, Holiday is working fine.

Aviary and Walnut Ridge are working properly only when you use the links in the right side modules.

Vintage Home is not linking correctly from the main menu or the right side modules.

I can't see where I've done anything different between those menus.

The problem comes from the creation of the thumbnails for your product images.
You should try to either reduce the number of elements in your products listing module (that option can be found in your modules options via the menu Display->Content modules), or increase the memory limit of your hosting in your php.ini (you might have to ask your hosting company about that), or reduce the size of the images you upload in your products.

Thank you for another quick response.

I did increase the memory limit, so i don't think that's the problem.
The images are much smaller than the limit allows.

If that is the problem, why are the links on the right working and displaying products properly?

When an image of 1MB is loaded in memory to be resized, it takes a whole lot more memory in reality. Also, if you have lots of images, the memory starts to add up.

I see the same problem coming from the link at the top or the link on the right:
jacquelinebejma.com/joomla16/index.php/h...gory/49-vintage-home
jacquelinebejma.com/joomla16/index.php/vintagehome

So it is consistent. Also, the error message says that it comes from the thumbnail creation library. You should try to pinpoint which product it is where you have the problem. Maybe it's just that the image for that product wasn't uploaded correctly because of an error and it screwes the library when doing the thumbnail ?

Thank you so much. I fixed the image problems. Still, there are more problems

1. Product listing twice in content area:
jacquelinebejma.com/joomla16/index.php/vintagehome

The first listing is correct, the 2nd isn't.

2. Product listing twice in content area:
jacquelinebejma.com/joomla16/index.php/aviary

Both listings are the same, and are correct.

3. Should be a category listing at the top and then products in the content area:
jacquelinebejma.com/joomla16/index.php/walnutridge

Should look the same as this:
jacquelinebejma.com/joomla16/index.php/h...gory/47-walnut-ridge
