Double click on Finish button to proceed

Hi ,

we face a problem on the checkout process .

when the user is to the last stage of payment he have to click two times on the FINISH button to can proceed.

the first time nothing happens and the second time proceeds.

fom our site we disable any style changes fo that page and the problem remains

could you advice pls how to fix that.

The solution will probably be to set the "Auto submit shipping and payment methods selection" option to YES through the page "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout".

we dont want this but event that , No this is doesnt solve the problem .

I think that you have to click 2 times on the "Final" button because :
- On the first click : you're manually submitting your shipping or payment methods selection
- On the second one : you're moving to the final step.

Did you tried it with the "Auto submit shipping and payment methods selection" option to YES ? if that's not how you want your checkout to work, can you please give me more information ?

Could you please say "how" you fixed it? Its because i am having the exact same Problem and couldn't solve it. All shipping Inforamtions usw are set to "auto aubmit" but it needs two clicks till it processes the order.

I'm facing this issue as well. My payment method and shipping method are in the same page. When I select the desired methods I need to click twice for it to go the the next step.

When I tried to enable the "Auto submit shipping and payment methods selection" I could not proceed any further with the checkout process as I have only one payment method and it seems to not get selected.

Can you give me more information through some screenshots for example about the fact that your payment method don't get selected when you have the "Auto submit shipping and payment methods selection" option set to YES ?

Correction, the problem is not with one payment method but with only one shipping method.
Please see attached two screen shots, one without the "Auto select default shipping and payment methods" enabled and one without. Please notice that when it's enabled the shipping option is not showing up and I can't proceed with the checkout process.
* The second option is the shipping method which is free in my region.

I'm using Hikashop Essential 2.3.4 on Joomla 3.3.6.

I have the same issue. The first click shows the same checkout page, leaving you to wonder if the payment is complete. The second click processes the credit card payment. The "Auto submit shipping and payment methods selection" is set to YES

I've updated my Hiakshop Essential to the latest 2.3.5 version on a local machine (XAMPP) and it solved this problem.
I'm going to update my live site during the weekend and hope it will work the same way.
Will update as soon as I get it done.

Is HikaShop Business 2.3.5 the latest version? If not I would recommend you to try the update first.

Well, it took a while but I've finally updated the client's Hikashop version to the latest one.
The double clicking issue after selecting payment and shipment methods was NOT solved on the live server. Weird this tough as it was solved on my local machine. But, after enabling the "automatically select method" (which worked this time) the first double click issue was solved and now the user has to click only once to go to the next step.

I guess that should do it

I keep running into the "double click to finish" issue and am not sure I can even describe it all here.

I am thoroughly perplexed by the checkout process. I have been experimenting for days trying to eliminate the extra clicks where nothing happens. I have even configured the checkout in a way I'm not thrilled about which improved but did not fix the issues. My configuration is attached. I have the auto-submit set for payment and shipping.

1. login/registration goes fine NOTE: I wanted to have shipping on the next page, but added it to registration page because it seemed to conflict with payment options.... but it works OK here
2. when you get to the second page (payment) things don't work well at all, and in fact I cannot figure out what causes all the inconsistencies.
Payment option Credit Card:
- if i don't put in a credit card number and select pay by credit card, nothing appears to happen (except that the URL changes -- screen looks the same). Once the screen has refreshed however, toggling between payment methods acts crazy
- sometimes when I put in credit card information and hit "finish", nothing appears to happen (except that the URL changes -- screen looks the same). I then have to hit "finish" again to go to the thank you page. I don't know what causes this and can't always recreate it.... though it seems to happen after a screen refresh as described above

Purchase Order:
- never seems to work the way it should. I SHOULD be able to put in a purchase order # and hit "finish" and go to the thank you page. Instead, I hit finish and the page refreshes... I have to then hit "finish" again to go to thank you page.

We have attempted some customizations but nothing seems to help.

The strangeness seems to result from the URL changing from step-1 to ...step-2 and what causes that.

would it help maybe to have an "update" button next to the purchase order text field... so you manually update within the shipping option, then use the "finish" button to move on (thus hopefully eliminating the double-click)?

also if I have the shipping options and the cart on the same page, if I change an item in the cart (delete it), then the shipping method becomes "unchecked". I have to re-check the shipping method.

It seems like some of the check-out modules don't work well together?

Perhaps you can help me solve this: I think I can make it work under 2 scenarios.

Right now I need shipping method to NOT submit upon selection, but I would like to have the payment method submit upon selection. Is there a simple code update that I can use to accomplish this?

One other thing that would really help is if the "purchase order" payment method included a submit button next to the input field. Ideally it would submit and the purchase order would change to type (with an edit pencil next to it to update).
