Hi,

I've tried but I didn't had the problem on your checkout. I was able to place an order after selecting the second shipping method. It worked just fine.
Do you still have the problem ?

That's odd. I tried it and am seeing the problem. Did you choose the 2nd shipping option (Regular Mail) ?

After I choose that option it then takes me to this page:

Thanks!

Don't know if this helps but if I switch around the shipping options, it's always the 2nd one that causes the problem.

So if "By Courier" becomes #2 then that causes the problem.

Thanks!!

Hello,
I actually tested it with the "Centennial Book - To Bring Comfort and Hope" product and selected both shipping method but I can't reproduce your issue. We'll need step by steps instructions on how to reproduce it to understand from where it's coming.

It looks like I get that error when an address is not entered or selected.

So if the user goes to the cart, skips the billing/shipping section and goes to the shipping method and selects the 2nd one, they will run into the problem I am referring to.

That needs to work properly though so that if a user did what I did they don't run into that issue.

Thanks!

Hello,

Your customer will automatically have at least 1 address, the only way to have no address will be to register through the Joomla registration form, and a solution can be to use the "Redirect Joomla registration to HikaShop plugin".

Yes, they will have to enter an address eventually but if they skip to select the payment option first then that issue will occur.

Can you clarify the solution that you are suggesting please? I'm not entirely sure what you mean.

Thanks!!

Hello,

Sure, as I said you'll just have to publish the plugin "Redirect Joomla registration to HikaShop plugin" so that when a customer will register through your website they'll be redirected to the Hikashop registration page where entering a shipping/billing address is required, so when going to the checkout they'll automatically have an address which will prevent your issue from happening.

I'm sorry but that does not work :(

I published the plugin and followed the steps that I indicated above and I am still getting the "Error: 403" page.

I need to fix this asap please as I am getting complaints.

Thank you!!

Hi,

Your problem is that your customers can get an error when they skip the address part of the checkout because they don't have an address for their user.
The solution proposed by Mohamed is that you redirect the Joomla user registration form to the HikaShop registration form so that when new users register, the directly enter their address. That way, even if they skip the address step fo the checkout, they'll already have an address and thus won't get error.
The solution proposed seems correct to me if I understands your problem correctly.

And as always, I did a test on your website, but I'm not able to reproduce the problem. It seems to be working correctly as far as I can see.

I am actually begging for your help now.

There is an issue when the user clicks on a shipping method before entering their shipping address and clearly we have users who are doing this and getting very upset about it. I don't know what else to do and I was hoping someone would at least take a look for me as this could affect sales.

You tell me that you don't see the issue but I do and clearly others do too, as per the two responses below. I followed your instruction above and still the issue exist.

Please HELP ME fix this - please!!!.

These are what 2 people who used the system said...

1)

I get an error message tried 4 times... it says 'The requested page can't be found
An error has occurred while processing your request.
You may not be able to visit this page because of:
•an out-of-date bookmark/favourite
•a mistyped address
•a search engine that has an out-of-date listing for this site
•you have no access to this page

You may wish to search the site or visit the home page.

I think at this point I am looking elsewhere, I need to spend my time wisely...

2)

Hi

I did the following orders through Chrome:
1. Did an order as a log in - order using regular mail and using courier
2. Did an order as a guest - ordered using regular mail and using courier

Did the same thing through IE. (thinking maybe this could be the problem)

In all cases above, I got a Request cant be found, however the interesting part is that the orders came in.

Hello,
In your case, setting the "login" action to a step before the "Shipping" action through the "Checkout workflow" via "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout" will probably solve your issue. Else, you can also set the "Auto submit shipping and payment methods selection" option to No via "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout"

In your case, setting the "login" action to a step before the "Shipping" action through the "Checkout workflow" via "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout" will probably solve your issue.

I tried changing the workflow and no matter what I do I cannot get the login to move before the shipping.

Although I put this:
cart_address_login_shipping_payment_status_fields_confirm,end

It's still showing this in the backend:
Login > Address > Shipping > Payment > Coupon, etc....

Else, you can also set the "Auto submit shipping and payment methods selection" option to No via "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout"

I changed the option to "no" and the error page is no longer showing, but the message on the screen confirming what the user choose does not match. Please see attached pic.

Thank you!

Hello,

That's weird, can you give us a temporary access to your back-end so that I can directly check your configuration and test it ?

Note that you can send it through our contact form, please don't forget to specify the link to that thread :

Hello,

I didn't had any issue when I selected a Shipping method even without any shipping address but, I had an issue at the end of the checkout workflow and that issue was coming from the "return URL" that you have set through your Payment configuration page.

OK? Did you remove the URL or make any changes because both issues are still happening - I'm not making this up and it's frustrating :(

If I can get a fix for this issue then I'm good: www.hikashop.com/support/forum/checkout/...selected.html#235729 .

Not sure if this is a browser issue. I am using Firefox.

Thank you!

Hello,

The only issue that I succeed to reproduce was the fact that an error message was displaying at the end of the checkout workflow when you were redirected on a page with that error message :

I get an error message tried 4 times... it says 'The requested page can't be found
An error has occurred while processing your request.
You may not be able to visit this page because of:
•an out-of-date bookmark/favourite
•a mistyped address
•a search engine that has an out-of-date listing for this site
•you have no access to this page

But I got ride of it by removing the "Return URL" option from your Payment method. Also, even if I use Firefox I don't have any error message and I'm able to complete my order.

If I set the "Auto submit shipping and payment methods selection" option to "Yes" I still get that error that you are describing, even with the "Return URL" removed - unless I am missing something.

You probably tested it when the option was set to "No" - that is why you did not get the error but you try changing it to YES and you will get that error.

Since it appears that the error message cannot be fixed I can leave the "Auto submit shipping and payment methods selection" option to "NO" but how do I get the shipping message on the screen confirming what the user choose to match? Please see attached pic again.

Thank you
