Weird calculation problems

Hi,
we took over the work from another agency for the client. So, we urgently need a bit of support on this, because the calculation in orders makes weird things:
Calculating an order which wasnt made in frontend on top of others and calculating wrong (see attached screener).
Also, the Shipping costs are not printed out on screen during the order process in frontend (while being calculated).

Please give us some help.
Buying support will be no prblem, but I also consider these two things as bugs maybe...
If you would need access please write a PIM.

Hi Andre,

Firstly, can you download the last Hikashop version through our website, install it, and test it again ? The best is always to make a backup before an update, to be safe, more specially if you modified an Hikashop core file or not.
Also, can you give us more information about the problem that you are having through some screenshots for example ?

thank you very much for your answer.
I can try to update (but I am not an owner of a license, so I dont know how to download the business version at all), but I am completley unsure right now, what the developer before us did to any core files, or not.

The problem in the screenshot is clear, when you calculate what s written in the "print invioce" popup.
The calculations are simply wrong, and the first line of ten items wasnt added to cart at all....

When You go to shop under the domain and just add an item, go throught the process, you will see that there is no Shipping costs (Versand in german) printed on screen.

Do You need more to analyze the two problems? (First screener wrong calculation and item not from cart and second screener not printed out Shipping)

I already tried to find those things in settings and settings of plugins but it didnt help so far...

Hi,

Regarding your first screenshot, I can indeed see that the calculation is wrong. Did the update resolved the issue ? If not, can you check that the file "invoice" of the view "order" was not edited via the menu Display>Views. If it was, can you save the modifications locally and click on the "remove customization" icon of the file so that you use the default view file of the latest version ?
Also, if that doesn't work with an old order (as it might actually be a problem at the creation of the order in the backend and not at the display), can you try with a new order ? Does it help ?

Regarding your second screenshot, this usually happens because you had edited the "cart" file of the view "checkout" via the menu Display->Views. Remove the customization there and it will display the shipping fees fine there.

I will now be able to update it on a local server and see what happens.

Sadly, I cannot find what you mean by....: "invoice" of the view "order" was not edited via the menu Display>Views.
When I go to Display-> Views I cannot find any setting related to "order".
only can find Custom frontend CSS and backend CSS while there is the backend css set to default.

To be sure, I am in System-> Configuration-> Display
there also is no "remove customization" icon...
Or in german version that all is missing completely

Hi,
on live site, the update screen BTW showed that I have the latest stable version running 2.2.1 all the time....

But now on local install I dated it up to 2.2.2 and the errors still exist.

Both... I went to front shop, did put products into cart (3 different ones, 2* Product A, 5 * Product B and 10 * Product C)
During process Versand (shipping) wasnt printed out on screen.

In backend then it adds an extra row on top of the product list, which is a copy of 10* Product C, but it also doesnt calculate this row.

So, see screener please...
Very weird at all, especially after I have run an update, additionally to the customization you recommended to remove which I cannot find.

So, to summarize: The cart often adds another product always this product 0001
If not it still doesnt add the first product in row to the calculation... See product list.

can You help?

And a screener from an invoice, where only the first row is not calulated...


EDIT: And when I am in order details and I click on the edit button right column at additional infos and click SAVE on the save symbol, the calculation is correct again....

Hi,

For what I see in your screenshots, it looks like you already have some data in your table "order_product".
So when the order is displayed, it load his products but also some old data in the database, from a previous test install maybe ?

Because the total is right (if we exclude these products) and because the products are displayed at the top of the list, I think that the problem is in the data of the table "order_product".

Hi,
this well could be a reason.

When I go to "additional information" on the order details in backend (right colum first row) and edit it and ONLY save it, the calculation is fine again.

But how should I find out which of the entries in the table is causing the problem?
Can I send you the table order_product over PIM and You take a look?

Second thing, because the reset customizations, why dont I see in configuration what youre talking about?
See screener from updated to 2.2.2 version from local install.

If you want to reset all customizations of views, the simplest is the rename the folder templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_hikashop via FTP. That will remove all cusotmizations to all the views that were done via the Display->Views interface.
Then you can see if it helps.

What Jerome is saying is that the data of the products of the order doesn't seems to correspond to the order. And that could be explained because the order table was cleared but not the order_product table and thus, for new orders you can potentially get products from deleted orders displayed on the products listing even though it won't be counted in the total of the order. Do you have any knowledge of such thing happening on your website ?
A backend access won't help for that. That would require to clear the order and order_product and history tables via phpmyadmin so that the data of new orders is then clean when new orders are created in the database.

First: Okay, so first I can only see some smaller settings in Display -> Views, cause there is no thing like a individual invoice template html code or so and even no editor to add such code.
So, I also see no reset customizations BUTTON you are referring to, why?

Second: Clearting those tables would only mean to set back what has happened till today regarding orders right?
Can I only clear the order_product table to get rid of the problem?

I mean, Yes, this is a behaviour I can see happening I think.

Second point:
Clearing the table product_orders here on local server solves the problem.
What is this table for?
None of the orders has gone away on backend.
Could I dare to do it on live?

Because first point, custumization, still some things you wrote are unclear (what you said about backend and setting it back to standard, etc)

So I opened the folder and there are no templates.
All I can see is in the screener and there is nothing that seems to be individualized.

So, please how can I find out, where the shop takes the individual PDF layout from?

Did you renamed this folder ? Note that you can also test it with another template that you didn't modified.
2. The order_product table is the table where we list all the products that are attached to your order, if you have cleared it, you won't have any product attached to your old orders, but if it's working fine with your new orders, I don't think that you'll have any other issue.
3. Can you tell me what do you exactly means by the PDF layout form ?

Hi, yes, can only get better. :-)

1. Regarding the folder I already wrote in this post
And you can see attached what I see.
To explain the situation again. I didnt set the whole thing up at all, so I modified nothing, made no changes and have no clue at all, cause I have taken over the client, after another agency made all this. I also try to reach him, but because he is least available and never calls back, the client changed to us. :-)
2. Good I dont fully understand what the sense is, but I cleared it and the problem should be solved.
3. Sure, I can tell what PDF invoice layout means. When I go to Orders and click on one of them I can go to the Button "Rechnung" (Invoice) and get a pop up. In this popup a layout exists (header, footer, etc.) When I click on print in this popup I can pdf it or print it with a device. I have no clue at all, where the other agency set this layout up. Do You have?
