@bonzomedia There is no Stripe plugin in HikaShop packages.
I can't say precisely but I suppose that the Stripe v2 plugin will become deprecated if Stripe deactivate that API.

@nmanek Yes, that thread is about the Stripe V3 plugin and the update will come as soon as possible ; the Payment Intent will provide the SCA requirement. Like I wrote several time in that thread, the API used by the plugin will not be compatible with SCA for Stripe. They made the "payment intent" but the API was in beta and they pushed it not so long ago to have their SCA support.

@ Jérôme : i'm a little bit confused now as I bought the V3 Stripe plugin in order to be online with the SCA request, and following this thread and you're last answer, i'm lost. What should i do ? wait the update you're talking before ?
Is this plugin ready for SCA ?

That is complete disingenuous. At the time I selected and purchased Hikashop as a long term development commitment it WAS included. At some point in time you removed it and moved it's availability over to GitHub and made it available there for FREE.

You seem incapable of directly answering important questions, and you are creating confusion by not doing so in an accurate a precise manner, it seems you are deliberately avoiding providing answers less than 1 month away from Stripe's deadline. This is unprofessional, my clients are in a situation where they will potentially lose income.

1. When? We need a release date urgently for an SCA compliant Stripe payment gateway for Hikashop.
2. Where? Where will it be available from - Hikashop or some other third party?
3. Cost? This was of course originally included in the Hikashop subscription, it should be free, but if not how much?

Nicholas, please step in, we are not getting the answers that we require.

Stripe v2 has been removed from HikaShop package as other payment plugins which have not been developed by the HikaShop team.
Yes, these plugins were moved to github and Stripe v2 is not the only one.
For the past years, the Stripe plugin is not in HikaShop packages ; that is the current situation.

I'm trying to work on the plugin right now, but each time I need to perform a reply and explain the same thing again, I loose some time and afterwards, I need to re-concentrate on the plugin development.

So, if you really want to have a plugin in time, please let me work on that.

Seems to me that this is a grey area at the moment. The information from Stripe updated 2 days ago is on the link below.

BTW, if the card details are not collected on the website in Hikashop but you are directed to Stripe then is V3 required?

Hello,

Stripe v3 is using the version 3 of the API (including JavaScript).
It is also called "Stripe Elements" ; and it's a form which is dynamically generated by the Stripe JavaScript and allow to send the credit card details to the Stripe platform which will give a "token" in return.
That token is received by the plugin (and HikaShop), so it do not store any credit card details (but since you have a form where the customer enter its credit card, you must have HTTPS for security purposes).

During the weekend, I finished tests and validation for the Payment Intent implementation.
I decided to deactivate temporally the "checkout" integration mode to be concentrated on the payment intent ; which is now working good.
The "connect" integration is not fully completed and require two more tests, but is almost done.

Hi,
i am also using hikashop for about two years.
What is the best/easiest way to keep collecting card-payments via Stripe with SCA?
update hikashop basic-package to the newest version? upgrade to stripe plugin v3? ... what else? wait or act now?
i don't want to invest to much time for that. This is why i use hikashop, i want a system that works.

Hello,

If you want Stripe with SCA, the new version of Stripe V3 plugin (that I will release very soon), would be the solution.

I think that I will publish a special version of the plugin, next to the two plugins provided by Stripe V3, for the SCA support without the vendors.
The tests for Stripe connect are still complicated and they are a lot of possible configuration. So having a plugin with SCA but without vendors will allow a big part of the users to see and give feedback on what is already finished (and tested).

Do you have a release date for the non-connect Stripe Plugin supporting SCA ?

I purchased Stripe V3 some months ago, but still no beta nothing to start the integration on our test site. I am sure that there will be adaptions necessary to have the look and feel I like for the card number form, so I'd really appreciate a beta version to start developing on our test site. I won't blame you for beta version bugs : I am already disappointed anyway of this purchase as checkout implementation is promised on the description, but is not yet working and (if I undertood well) won't be working neither with the new SCA compatible version.... So any positive surprise will be a reason to party ! ;-)

P.S.: I understand that it is difficult to develop this plugin because of the Connect platform, but as you are selling it, you will have to assume the consequences and take the appropriate decisions to deliver what is promised in the product description.

Hello,

I put the first version of the Beta plugin ; you can download it via your HikaShop order.
That plugin do not fully support the connect API and I have disable the "checkout" integration because there are still some pending questions regarding the "payment intent".
The plugin have new settings for the mode (only "end" for the moment) and another for the type of card (intent / token legacy).

Via payment intent in the checkout page, the payment is now entirely made via JavaScript and the customer stay on the same page.
If his card needs strong authentication, the special popup will be displayed and he will be able to confirm the order.
The customer cannot validate several times the form, but if there is an error, the message will be displayed and he will be able to perform the modifications and retry (on the same page).
Please note that with the "end" mode, the plugin still work like Paypal. The order will be created and the customer will have to confirm it.

"checkout" mode is still under tests so does the the new algorithm for Connect (in order to have the vendor split before the creation of the order).
The classical usage of the plugin is working good in my side ; feel free to give your feedback on it.
I highly recommend to first perform some tests in a test/pre-production website before going live with it.
If you have any problem, the plugin can still be use with the "token" mode and you will still have access to the previous version of the plugin (via the HikaShop order).

In the market place I can only see 2 Stripe plugin: the V2 (obsolete) and the V3 with Connect
Is the V3 Connect the Beta version ?

I've bought the beta version of your plugin and installed it
the form where to enter the card details doesn't appear and I am directed to a page which confirm my order (without paying for it)
In the backend the order has the status "created"

Here is a view of the configuration I made



I've tried with the Payment interface "Token" and it is the same pb
